SCAPE's Landscape Climate Adaptation Plan for the University of California, Berkeley was honored with an Award of Excellence by the American Society of Landscape Architects’ Northern California chapter.

This campus-wide plan guides Northern California's heritage landscape to resist accelerating climate change issues. Currently, the university faces extreme storm events, increasing temperatures, and prolonged drought. SCAPE strategically evaluated the existing canopy, the underlayer vegetation of the trees, and sustainability goals to deliver a climate-resilient landscape framework.

The Award of Excellence is given to one truly exceptional project determined by the Jury and recognizes the overall environmental sustainability and resilience factors. Congratulations to the full team!
