SCAPE’s work along the Gowanus Lowlands was recently featured in a segment from CBS New York News.

In conversation with reporter Vanessa Murdock, Design Principal and Partner Gena Wirth discusses the two newly opened waterfront projects, Carroll Street Eco Basin and Sackett Community Hub, that are reopening the canal's edges to the public after decades of inaccessibility. Developed as part of the Gowanus Lowlands Master Plan , a collaboration between SCAPE and Gowanus Canal Conservancy, the two projects mark a major milestone in the long-term effort to build a cohesive, ecologically rich public realm centered on the canal as it nears completion of its federal Superfund cleanup.
